The Jam Master Jay Foundation for Music is a 501(c)(3) organization created by Jam Master Jay's wife, Terri Corley-Mizell and some of Jay's closest friends. The foundation operates under the simple premise that regardless of socio-economic status, every child deserves equal access to the arts. The Foundation supports the idea that social Justice, Arts and Music (J.A.M.) education should be in every school, in every region of the country, giving children the opportunity to expand their world-view through artistic expression.

The Foundation directors include Terri Corley-Mizell, TJ Mizell, DMC, Russell Simmons,
Lyor Cohen, Erik Blamoville, Jesse Itzler, Stephen Nitkin, Rob Pricipe, Constance Schwartz, Cathy Symeonidis, Ivan Taback, David Weisswasser, Clayton Barmore, and Kaves.

Why support JMJ’s mission support to arts related organizations and school arts programs?

Because you want to see Jason Mizell’s legacy of creativity and community support continue.
Because you believe that every student deserves equal access to the arts.
Because you believe that music, performing and visual arts, and dance should be in every school, in every region of the country, both rural and urban, giving children the opportunity to expand their worlds.
Because you believe that art is challenging, and is often seen as a reflection of our society.
Because you believe that when a student is sufficiently provided with this essential part of education, he or she feels enriched and able to envision a greater future.
Because you believe that we cannot settle for the arts being severely reduced due to budget cuts.
Because you want to participate in a cause that will have a lasting impact on our students!
Every size donation is appreciated.
